Organic Sweet Treat

Looking for something different to satisfy your sweet tooth? Have you ever heard of Arroz Con Leche? You have if you know that it is Rice Pudding. But in this case it's Cuban style. Yes, cuban style. You see I grew up eating this cuban style pudding. It's soooo delicious!! I remember going over to my grandmother's and she would be making it and boy oh boy we just couldn't wait for it to be done. When it was finally done cooking we would get our little bowls and wait in line waiting to get some delicious hot pudding! Some people I guess eat it cold but warm pudding is great.
Now that I am older and make it for my family it always takes me back when I was a small child. I use the same recipe as my grandmother but note: hers was the best!!!
I will always miss her and the way she cooked, no one could top her, she was definitely one of a kind!
I use all organic ingredients since organic is better for our bodies. Organic does not alter the taste, it's still the same delicious flavor.Some of the ingredients are cinnamon, milk, lemon, sugar, and rice.

Organic Gingerbread Boys

I had so much fun making these delicious organic gingerbread boys or girls, which ever you prefer, with my girls. I know they had so much fun decorating their cookies as girls. There's nothing more fun then putting some Christmas music on and decorating cookies. It just puts you in such a great holiday mood.Especially when you watch your kids laughing and having conversations, and comparing each others cookies,it's just pure joy,priceless! You know that it's much more fun doing something at home with your children that they are going to remember doing as a child and maybe pass it on to there children.

The gingerbread boys turned out to be delicious so I decided to put it on my etsy store . I'm selling it in a holiday jar, all you have to do is add the wet ingredients, very simple! It's also a great gift idea. The jar comes with a card attached with the complete instructions and ingredients.

Organic Cookies!

Well I just finished adding my Holiday jars of organic cookie mix to my etsy page(mamabakesorganic.etsy.com.)It's the perfect gift this holiday season. Whether you would like to give it as a gift or make cookies for you and your family it's perfect! All you have to do is add a couple more ingredients like butter and eggs and your good to go! Simple!
**I'll be adding more jars in the next few days. Everyone likes variety. And it's all my organic original recipes, it's just that I didn't make it for you :). Or you could always buy my cookies already made! How about that?! Sounds good, HUH?
Anyway , I truly enjoy baking and making these jars. My creative juices start to flow and it's almost like I'm not fast enough to write all my ideas down. Or even make or bake my ideas! It's crazy! On top of all that I have a household to run! 3 kids, yeah that's all I have to say,....yes very, very busy!

Nothing surprises me anymore!

Well let me tell you what happened. On Monday it was cold out for us Floridians,colder then normal. So anyway I told my girls ages 12,10,2 that they could have hot chocolate when we got home from school, while they did their homework .Yeah! Everyone is excited! These are moments my girls will remember when they get older.
So any way I gave my 2 year old her little cup of warm hot chocolate and marshmallows. Yay! There's nothing better. Well I started getting busy with dinner and feeding the dog and cleaning and on and on.... I forgot about my 2 year olds cup. I figured it would be in the sink with the others. I mean she absolutely likes to throw EVERYTHING in the sink. So why wouldn't the cup be there, right?! Well it's Wednesday morning now were getting ready for school and there's this awful stench in the kitchen. Can't figure out where it's coming from. Garbage? No it's half empty, no poopy diapers in there.Our dog have an accident? Nope. What in the world? My cinnamon candle is always on so I don't know.
Later on that day I start getting ready to make dinner and here comes my 2 year old to play with her play kitchen which is in our kitchen. So I'm watching her and what does she pull out of her little refrigerator? Um, her hot chocolate! Yes, she was trying to make it colder,so I guess she put it in her refrigerator!Hilarious. All I could do is laugh because she just does not surprise me any more. I mean if you think about it, she did put it in the fridge, it's just that her doesn't really work.:)
The smell that this little cup of milk and chocolate made ugh! Awful!She brought it up to me of course so she can show me."Look Mom, my hot chocolate".
So yes when you have children, nothing surprises you, after a while anyway!:-)
